Information We Collect

When you request an invitation, register for an event, join the CTRC mailing list, or otherwise contact CTRC, we may collect:

• Your first and last name
• Your business email address
• Your company or organization
• Your job title
• Your telephone number, if provided
• Your city, state, or geographic location, if provided
• Your event interests and registration preferences
• Your communication and consent preferences
• Other information you voluntarily provide

We may also maintain records showing when and how you submitted a form, joined a mailing list, provided consent, changed your communication preferences, or unsubscribed.

How We Use Your Information

CTRC may use your information to:

• Review and respond to event invitation requests
• Communicate with you about an event for which you requested an invitation or registered
• Administer event attendance, security, and logistics
• Provide event-related updates and information
• Maintain registration and consent records
• Send CTRC news, event announcements, insights, and community updates when you have requested or consented to receive them
• Respond to questions and other requests
• Protect the security and integrity of CTRC events, communications, and systems
• Meet applicable business and legal requirements

Submitting an event invitation request does not automatically add you to the CTRC mailing list. You will receive ongoing CTRC communications only when you separately request or consent to receive them.

Event Invitations and Registrations

Submitting an invitation request does not guarantee admission to an event. CTRC may review registration requests and communicate with applicants regarding approval, availability, event details, or changes.

CTRC may send necessary communications concerning an event for which you requested an invitation or registered. These operational event communications are separate from optional CTRC mailing-list communications.

CTRC Mailing List

If you choose to join the CTRC mailing list, CTRC may send you occasional emails about future events, programs, insights, and community activities.

Joining the mailing list is optional and is not required to request an invitation to a CTRC event.

You may unsubscribe at any time by selecting the unsubscribe link included in a CTRC email or by contacting admin@credittechrisk.org.

Unsubscribing from the general mailing list will not prevent CTRC from sending necessary communications about an event for which you have registered or requested an invitation.

Event Sponsors and Supporting Organizations

Some CTRC events are supported by sponsoring or participating organizations.

When you provide separate consent, CTRC may share limited information with the supporting sponsors identified for that specific event. The information shared may include:

• Your name
• Your job title
• Your company or organization
• Your business email address

Sponsor-sharing consent is optional and is not required to request an invitation.

Supporting sponsors receiving your information may use it in accordance with their own privacy practices. CTRC encourages you to review the privacy notices of those organizations.

You may withdraw your consent to future sharing by contacting admin@credittechrisk.org. Withdrawing consent will apply to future sharing but may not reverse information that was previously shared based on your consent.

CTRC does not sell personal information.

Service Providers

CTRC may use third-party service providers to operate its website, collect and manage event registrations, maintain contact records, deliver emails, and administer events.

These providers may include:

• iContact or another email and contact-management provider
• Website-hosting and domain providers
• Microsoft 365 and related business services
• Event venues
• Registration, communication, security, and technology providers

These organizations may receive personal information when reasonably necessary to perform services for CTRC. Their handling of information is subject to their applicable contractual and legal responsibilities.

Cookies and Website Technology

CTRC does not currently use website analytics or advertising-tracking tools.

The CTRC website, its hosting provider, and embedded form providers may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for website security, form submission, session management, and basic website operation.

If CTRC introduces analytics, advertising, or other nonessential tracking technologies, this Privacy Notice will be updated and additional consent mechanisms will be implemented where required.

Data Retention

CTRC retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

• Administer an event or respond to a request
• Maintain appropriate business, registration, and consent records
• Provide communications that a person has requested
• Honor unsubscribe and privacy preferences
• Resolve disputes
• Meet legal or regulatory obligations

When information is no longer reasonably required, CTRC may delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it.

Certain limited information may be retained to document a consent decision, honor an unsubscribe request, or meet applicable legal requirements.

Data Security

CTRC uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no internet transmission, electronic storage system, or security measure can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

International Processing

CTRC and many of its service providers are located in the United States.

If you submit information from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or another jurisdiction where privacy laws may differ from those in your location.

Your Choices and Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and the laws applicable to you, you may have the right to:

• Request access to personal information CTRC maintains about you
• Ask CTRC to correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Withdraw previously provided consent
• Object to or request restrictions on certain uses of your information
• Unsubscribe from marketing communications
• Request information about how your personal information has been used or shared

CTRC may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests. CTRC will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law.

Children’s Privacy

CTRC events, communications, and website services are intended for business professionals and are not directed to children under the age of 18.

CTRC does not knowingly collect personal information from children through its event or mailing-list forms.

Changes to This Privacy Notice

CTRC may update this Privacy Notice when its activities, events, service providers, technology, or legal obligations change.

The revised notice will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through other appropriate means.
